Every dog that is adopted needs at least a bit of training. You want your dog to be a trusted and loved friend, but at the same time, you don’t want it to cause problems for the people around you. The Principle
The remote dog collar is quite different from all the other training dog collars out there such as the electric dog collar or citronella dog collar. The main difference is that you are actually controlling this collar. That makes the collar much more applicable in training sessions, as opposed to collars which are left on the dogs and work by themselves.
In order to use the remote dog collar properly you will need to be there with your dog while they are wearing it. You will teach commands or behavior patterns to the dog, one at a time, and if the dog doesn’t obey, you’ll use the collar to correct it. You should have the remote control on your hands all the time, and when you push the button in it, it will make the collar deliver the dog a mild static shock through two steel prongs that are on the inside face of the collar.
When you strap the collar onto your dog’s neck you will see that there are two probes coming out of the collar, which must come into direct contact with the dog’s skin in order to work
If you are worried about the remote dog collar harming your dog, don’t. Static electricity doesn’t hurt animals or people, but it scares or confuses your dog enough to pay attention to your command and the situation of the moment. Many people consider the remote dog collar to be cruel but unless you’re willing to test it yourself (which many people are afraid of) you won’t know the exact feeling it gives.
